Access Pilatesinduction

Getting started

How it works

Access Pilates studios are unstaffed — there’s no front desk and no instructor waiting on you. Here’s exactly what happens between deciding to join and your first class.

Getting started

Four steps to your first class

Everyone does a face-to-face induction with a studio manager before their first class. It takes about twenty minutes and it’s the bit people miss — you can’t book a class until it’s done.

  1. Step 1

    Choose a membership

Unlimited weekly at $45, a 12-month at $35 a week, or a class pack if you’d rather try it first. Use the code NEWMEMBER for your first week free.

  2. Step 2

    Download the app

Create your account and buy your membership in the Access Pilates app. It’s also how you book classes and unlock the studio door.

  3. Step 3

    Book your induction

Every new member does a short face-to-face induction with a studio manager first. They’ll run you through the reformer, the kiosk and getting in and out safely.

  4. Step 4

    Book any hour you like

Classes run on the hour, around the clock. Pick a time, turn up, put the headphones on and go.

The induction

Twenty minutes that unlocks everything

The seating area inside an Access Pilates studio

Every new member does a face-to-face induction with one of our studio managers before their first class. It’s a safety thing, and it’s not optional — the booking system won’t let you book a class until it’s done.

Your manager walks you through the reformer, how to set it up for your height, the kiosk interface, the headphones, and how to get in and out of the studio. If you’ve never been on a reformer before, this is where that stops being daunting.

If you’ve already paid and can’t book —this is almost always why. Email your studio and they’ll get an induction in the diary.

What to bring

Not much, really

Grip socks, a water bottle and a towel. That’s it. There’s storage behind each reformer for your shoes, keys and bottle while you’re in the class.

Headphones are on the reformer — you pair them from the kiosk. Everything else you need is already in the room.

Inductions are booked directly with the studio you want to train at. Send them a note with a couple of times that suit and they’ll come back to you.
